EQUINE ART
About Me
Based in Northamptonshire, UK.
University of Northampton Graduate in Fine Art: Painting and Drawing, 2018.
Current student of the Open University studying an MA in Art History.
Specialising in Equestrian and animal portraiture.
Like many equestrian artists, horses have been a great love of mine since I was a young girl. This lead to the collaboration of my love of art and my passion for horses.
Capturing the heart and spirit of the horse has been an ever growing fascination. Everything the horse stands for signifies majesty, elegance and pure beauty. During my time at University, my work was richly influenced by history, particularly in regards to the art of Side Saddle riding.
Since graduating, I have immersed myself within my art continuing my exploration of the horse, as well as working on commissions to capture the life and character of beloved pets.
Today many of my current and personal works revolve around my love for history, country life and Side Saddle riding. I wish to grace the canvas with the presence of elegance and strength. I've found that these two things aren't often paired together, but that they are commonly found in the form of the horse.
I'm very fortunate to be surrounded by inspiration, particularly from our beautiful animals; Ringo, Saffy, Lulu and Skye.
